Most of the aspiring NBA players are not only going professional just to follow their passion for playing basketball but also to earn millions. There are so many athletes in the world who are already earning almost a billion so we can’t blame them for why they want to pursue the NBA.

So here are the top 5 richest active NBA players today but before that, I want to clarify something. This list was ranked based on the players’ current net worth and nothing else. So let’s get straight to the list:

5. Stephen Curry

Estimated Net Worth: $130 million

Stephen Curry entered the NBA in 2009 as the 7th pick in the NBA Draft who was selected by Golden State Warriors. Until now, he is still with the team and he already had an estimated net worth of $130 million.

After his rookie contract with the Warriors, he signed a contract extension worth $44 million dollars for 4 years. The team made no mistake as he brought a championship to the Bay Area in 2015. In the last year of his contract, they won their 2nd title along with another superstar, Kevin Durant.

In 2017, the babyface assassin signed a lucrative five-year/$201,158,790 contract extension,Β  the first player to earn more than $40 million per season. Then, later on, they won their 3rd championship.

Curry is one of the most marketable athletes in the world. He makes around $ 42 million from his endorsements. He’s ranked 9th as the 2019 highest-paid athlete in the world.
