Blazers CJ McCollum Picked His Top 3 Players In The NBA Today
Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum named his top 3 NBA players today in order. LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In a video interview by Jay Williams of The Boardroom, CJ put in silence for a moment thinking deeply about what will be the order of the three superstars. He’s also thinking of putting Kevin Durant in the second spot only if he didn’t get injured this season.
It is no doubt that LeBron James is his top player today because of his massive career. He’s still the best player today even if it is already his 17th season in the league. He is still dropping big numbers and currently competing with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the MVP Race. CJ also praised his leadership and his ability to make the team better, like what he did last year before suffering a groin injury that cost them a playoff berth.
Prior to the NBA hiatus, King James has been dominating the league since the All-Star Break, averaging 30.0 points, 9.4 assists, and 8.2 rebounds with the Lakers and posted a 7-2 record on that run.
Kawhi Leonard also topped his list as he’s one of the best or maybe the best two-way player in the NBA today. He doesn’t have the ability to make his teammates better, like LeBron, but his offensive and the defensive game really covers it. You can see it on his stat sheet averaging 26.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game this season.
Last year, he led the Toronto Raptors to a championship without playing with another star which proves that he’s also a great leader.
Giannis Antetokounmpo also set foot into the list maybe because of his age. He’s still too young and still not in his prime bet here he is, already won an NBA MVP award. Imagine if Giannis adds efficient 3-point shooting and perimeter jumper to his repertoire, maybe he’ll tear all of his opponents. Just thinking about it made us fans get hyped.
This season before the NBA season suspension, the Greek Freak is in showtime again averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. The future is brighter for the reigning MVP.
Thus, CJ really appreciates those talents. Like him, we’re also lucky to have the chance to see that greatness. Hopefully, this crisis will be over so that the NBA that we love will delight us again.
