Trae Young Names his All-Time Top-5 list

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young is one of the rising phenoms in this generation of NBA. He is one of the most promising players today. He got his first all-star selection this year and surprisingly he’s already an all-star starter.

On Monday night, Trae Young was asked by a random guy for his all-time Top-5 players and he answered the question fearlessly by picking NBA superstar LeBron James for the top, to be followed by all-time great Michael Jordan and Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. Nets superstar Kevin Durant and Suns’ Hall of Famer Steve Nash were also included to complete the list.

This tweet of Young’s list will surely be followed by criticism as not all of the fans will agree with him.

We can’t deny that LeBron James is one of the best basketball players in today’s era. He dominates the league with his strong physique, enormous athleticism, and one-of-a-kind basketball IQ. But, we can’t also deny that Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were also the best players of their respective eras. Michael Jordan won 6 championships along with 6 Finals MVP awards in his time in Chicago while Kobe Bryant won 5 championships and 2 Finals MVP awards in his 20 years with the Lakers.

Kevin Durant and Steve are both elite players, few tend to agree they’re worthy of a top-five all-time status. Durant is without a doubt one of the most skilled players in the NBA today. But it still feels like he’s got a ways to go before we start even considering him a top 10 all-time player, let alone top five.

On the other hand, while Nash is one of the best point guards to ever play, considering him a top 5 all-time NBA player is absurd.

Every fan has different thoughts on who’s the greatest of all time. We may vary in our beliefs but there’s only one thing for sure these players are greats, not only by means of skills but also in their actions off the court.

It’s been a long time since the debate began about who’s better between LeBron, Michael, and Kobe but until now it is not yet done. You can find these comparisons actively on Facebook group pages and on Twitter.

Young had a point with his list and it’s hard to argue as these players were really exceptional. This GOAT conversation will never end as the fans also continue with their arguments.
