THREE BROTHERS PLAYED IN A SINGLE GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME
On December 28, 2019, the Holiday brothers named Jrue, Justin, and Aaron became the first three brothers to play in the same NBA game. That’s the game where the New Orleans Pelicans faced the Indiana Pacers at home.
Jrue is a member of the Pelicans while Justin and Aaron are members of the Pacers. It took only just seven minutes and 47 seconds for the Holiday brothers to make NBA history as Justin checked in from the bench. Later that day, the Pelicans won 120-98 over the Pacers.
WONDERBOY SURPASSED MICHAEL JORDAN’S RECORD
On December 8, 2019, 20-year old Luka Donฤiฤ surpassed the record for the 2nd most consecutive games with at least 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists since the ABA-NBA merger in 1976. The Mavericks’ young star puts up 28 PTS, 7 REB, and 8 AST in that game against the Sacramento Kings.
It is the 19th consecutive time that Doncic tallied 20-5-5 in a game, surpassing the record of Michael Jordan at 18. His streak ended at 20 after he suffered an injury only 2 minutes away from the tip-off against the Heat, trailing only 9 consecutive games away from the record of the Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson.
YOUNGEST PLAYER TO RECORD CONSECUTIVE 25-POINT TRIPLE-DOUBLES
On November 3, 2019, Luka Donฤiฤ of the Dallas Mavericks became the youngest player to record consecutive 25-point triple-doubles. He scored 31 PTS, 13 REB, and 15 AST that game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The game ended in OT as the Lakers defeated the Mavs 119-110. James drops a season-high 39 points with 16 assists and 10 rebounds. According to the NBA Stats, they became the youngest and oldest players in NBA history with triple-doubles that included at least 30 points and 15 assists, doing so in the same game.
FIRST PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY TO PLAY 22 SEASONS
On October 24, 2019, Atlanta Hawks veteran forward Vince Carter became the first player in NBA history to play 22 seasons. He was drafted 5th overall in the 1998 NBA Draft along with notable players like Dirk Nowitzki (9th overall) and Paul Pierce (10th overall). Carter officially checked in the game at 6:52 in the first quarter against the Detroit Pistons. He didn’t score at least a single point contributing only just 1 AST for the whole 10 minutes of play.
FIRST PLAYER TO PLAY IN FOUR DIFFERENT DECADES
On January 4, 2020, Hawks forward Vince Carter became the only player in NBA history to have played in four different decades. He suited up for games in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. He was drafted in 1998 when LeBron James was entering 8th grade and before Dallas Mavericks’ star, Luka Doncic was even born. He became a journeyman and played for 8 teams in total.

On January 13, 2020, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander became the youngest player in NBA history to ever have at least 20 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists in an NBA game. Given that entered the game that night averaging just 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He was 21 years and 185 days old at that time.

On January 25, 2019, LeBron James moved past Kobe Bryant for 3rd on the NBA all-time scoring list. He drops 29 PTS to lead the Lakers past the Sixers. With a second-half basket against the Philadelphia 76ers, LeBron James has passed former Los Angeles Lakers superstar and future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant in total career points, moving him into the third spot among the NBA All-Time Scoring Leaders. James now only trails Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (ranked No. 1 with 38,387) and Karl Malone (No. 2 with 36,928) in career scoring.

On November 19, 2019, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers became the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double against all 30 NBA teams.
James went for 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in a win over the Thunder. James is fifth in NBA history with 86 triple-doubles behind Oscar Robertson, Russell Westbrook, Lakers great Magic Johnson, and Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd.
